Jillanne Garrity is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a deep passion for helping others overcome challenges and find their path to well-being. With a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and Northern Vermont University, Jillanne brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.

Born in the beautiful wilderness of Alaska and raised in diverse environments, Jillanne's childhood took her to unexpected places. She spent her formative years in the Congo, where she developed a love for adventure and a profound appreciation for different cultures. This early exposure to diverse perspectives and experiences shaped her compassionate approach to counseling.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Jillanne has dedicated her career to empowering individuals and helping them navigate life's obstacles. Her diverse professional journey includes working with adolescents, adults, and military personnel and their families. She has extensive experience in acute hospital settings, residential treatment facilities, and substance use rehabilitation centers.

Jillanne's commitment to creating inclusive communities led her to serve as the American's with Disabilities Act Coordinator for the Municipality of Anchorage. In this role, she advocated for accessibility and equality, ensuring that individuals of all abilities had equal opportunities and support.

With a background in land use enforcement and planning, Jillanne has also played a vital role in shaping communities. Her work as a land use enforcement officer and planning professional focused on ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting responsible community development.

Throughout her career, Jillanne has been a staunch advocate for employee rights and well-being. She has served as a steward of her union, undertaking the roles of Chief Shop Steward and President. Her experience in labor mediation, negotiations, grievances, and employee investigations has given her a deep understanding of workplace dynamics and the importance of fostering healthy, supportive environments.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Jillanne finds solace and inspiration in the natural world. She thrives on exploring the Alaskan wilderness through hiking and fishing, reconnecting with the beauty and serenity of her surroundings. She also cherishes moments spent with her family, relishing the joys of being a devoted mother to three girls and a proud grandmother to two girls and one boy.
